Baby Swimming (3 months-2 year)
Baby swimming - Baby Dolphins
Baby Dolphins(3 months–2 years) is our baby swimming group.
The price is €99/month, including one child and up to two adults.
The main purpose of baby swimming is to help the child become comfortable in the water, so they learn to trust their own abilities and eventually move independently in the water.
Children who have participated in baby swimming typically learn to swim significantly faster.
When can we start in the Baby swimming group?
The baby must weigh at least 5 kg to be able to maintain their body temperature in 32°C water throughout the session.
Baby swimming can be started at any age from around 3 months onward. There is no upper age limit for starting.
The recommended minimum age of around three months is based on the baby being able to stay awake long enough to comfortably participate in the session.
How does progression work in the baby swimming group?
Pikku Delfiinit baby swimming (Baby Dolphin) progresses entirely according to your child’s individual stage of development. Each child is given a personalized learning path.
The pace of progress is guided by your child’s temperament and their energy level on each swimming day.
Throughout the sessions, we keep one key question in mind: What does our child enjoy right now?
What do you do in the baby swimming group?
Once the child has become comfortable in the water, we begin activities such as submersion exercises, as well as developing deep muscle control and the nervous system. The goal is that a child under the age of 2 can manage briefly in the water without formal swimming skills. We also introduce the basics of lifesaving during baby swimming.
In the later stages of baby swimming (before the age of 2), the aim is for the child to be able to stay submerged for 5–6 seconds, helping them cope calmly in unexpected situations in the water without panic.
